It's Kevin's past that makes him so powerful in the present. He has experienced a vast array of cultures and people of all backgrounds, having lived in over 30 places from Canada to South Africa and back. As a Youth Pastor, he drew together his congregation, unifying the youth and adults. He has spoken at multi-day conferences, coaching and mentoring youth, inspiring them to become the leaders they can be and to enrich their families' lives. He's led congregations and worship committees with skill and grace. His outreach currently extends to work in the community as the Membership Director and Past President of the Kinsmen Club of St. Thomas. In the business world, his experience ranges from foreman of a landscaping company to financial coaching and even attending the Toronto School of Business. In all these areas, Kevin's down-to-earth teaching style allows him to connect at a base level with everyone he meets, helping them understand the power of their own mindsets and how to become stronger leaders in their own families, communities and businesses.

Perhaps what makes Kevin so approachable is that he knows hardship. He has personally applied the practices he recommends, and he knows for a fact that what he does works. Six years ago, Kevin's entire family--he, along with his beloved wife and four children--were in a dangerous and harrowing, life-threatening head-on collision. It was a long process of healing for each of them, Kevin himself being confined to a wheelchair as the entire left side of his body healed. He knows firsthand how pervasive pain, fatigue, and discouragement can be. He understands how trauma affects our mentality, and he has seen the changes in his own life as he has taken his personal catastrophes and used them to make himself stronger, happier, and a more capable leader.
