About Amy

Amy’s background is anything but typical. She started her professional career as a U.S. Air Force Captain, where she learned the power and necessity of clear, confident communication. After leaving the military, she earned a Master’s Degree in Communication Studies from the University of Northern Colorado and a Bachelor’s in Journalism from The George Washington University.

That mix of discipline, education, and real-world experience became the foundation for what Amy calls Performance Communication®—the practical, professional, and positive communication that drives teamwork, productivity, and leadership success.

Today, through her company Triad Communication, Amy designs and delivers customized keynotes, workshops, and training programs for leaders and teams who want to improve communication, reduce conflict, and get real work done.

When Amy isn’t on stage or in a training room, she’s busy running Starlight Outreach and Rescue, a nonprofit she founded that has saved and rehomed more than 4,000 animals.
